The Colour of Hope Corporation was founded in 2015 by Mone Shaw, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who completed her Master’s in Clinical Psychology, with a specialization in Applied Behavioral Analysis. Throughout her undergraduate and graduate career, she participated in research studies as a research assistant. Moné received training, supervision, and credentialing in the areas of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Floortime DIR, Early Intervention, PROMPT (speech) and Clinical Psychology.
She has experience working with neuro-typical individuals who live with anxiety and depression and those with neurological deficits and disorders, such as Autism and Speech Delays. Her practice includes following the child's lead and incorporating art, music, and physical/motor aspects to her behavioral technique.
As she furthers her education by achieving her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, she continues to provide behavioral treatment for adults, adolescents, and children in need. Therapy is individualized for all, and the children in treatment are supported by profound Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and behaviorists.
RBTs and behavioral therapists receive ongoing training in the execution of behavior interventions, implementing therapy programs derived from skills acquisition/deficit areas and the recording of data collection. These clinicians are also trained in caregiver support in the early stages of treatment. Collaboration with other medical providers, teachers, speech and occupational professionals ensure for a collaborative, nurturing experience.
While working with adolescents and adults, the journey facilitates an in depth exploration and understanding of each person by their own needs. Moné is a passionate, energetic, and mindful professional, motivated to support adults, children, and families with the resources necessary to develop in a functioning and fulfilling way.
